Abchurch has been appointed by CentralNic plc (CNIC: AIM), the internet registry service provider which derives revenues from the worldwide distribution of internet domain names for its integrated corporate communications, financial PR and digital communications programme. Abchurch has considerable experience in the software and internet sectors, and is excited to be part of what is an industry revolution in the roll-out of new domain names. Abchurch will be working with CentralNic to help bolster its media relations with the trade and technical press, as well as to heighten the profile of the company’s investment story on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and improving its social media presence.
CentralNic plc is a global domain name registry service provider for Top Level Domains, Country Code TLD’s and Second-Level Domains, and currently has a market capitalisation of £63 million. It is also the provider of financial, back-end, marketing and distribution support for 60 new generic Top Level Domain (“gTLD”) applications made to the industry regulator the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (“ICANN”). Current domain names under CentralNic’s umbrella include .uk.com, .us.com and .com.de, and it is currently in the process of applying for new gTLDs such as .wiki, .xyz, .college and .bar.
