Welsh battery provider selects Abchurch for powerful PR programme

Abchurch has won the corporate PR and business-to-business PR brief to provide Atraverda, the advanced materials company based in South Wales, with an integrated communications programme to raise its profile within the trade and national press.

Atraverda has successfully combined ceramic material technology with proven lead acid battery design to deliver a global breakthrough in energy storage. The basis for this breakthrough is a conductive ceramic substrate known by its trademark – Ebonex®. The technology produces bipolar batteries which provide high energy density at low cost, using around 40% less lead, therefore not only making them lighter but also reducing environmental impact. They also offer simple high voltage configurability for a range of applications including the fast growing light electric vehicles market.

Henry Harrison-Topham, Managing Director of Abchurch, commented: “I am delighted that Atraverda has chosen to appoint Abchurch. The battery industry has tried for a long time to produce a commercially viable bipolar product. The advent of the Ebonex® technology has revolutionised the design of these batteries making bipolar lead-acid batteries a reality today. We look forward to working with Graham Ryan and his team.”

Leading the Abchurch account is Henry Harrison-Topham, Managing Director, supported by Mark Dixon, Account Director, Ashleigh Lezard, Account Director and Oliver Baxendale, Account Executive. Abchurch will work alongside Freshwater in Cardiff, who will continue to provide advice on regional and trade media activities.
